Glam Sense Chat with Model Vixen Gem Martinez

Gem Martinez lives up to her name; a precious and valuable charm that is known for her beauty and perfection! She is a well-rounded, multi-dimensional artist/Model Vixen: An established hair stylist, makeup artist, song writer/singer, model, fashion designer/ boutique owner and so much more. She can also show you a few moves on the dance floor! Gem is a trained dancer, studied the art of ballet, jazz, point, lyrical, tap, cheer, and hip hop dance for 10 years+ of her life. She has graced many magazine covers including Rhymes n Dimes. Clearly one can see this model vixen has outstripped the triple threat stage. But most of all her persona and drive outshines her talents. She has a 'go getter attitude', fierce in her own right with an impeccable sense of style. Fans and haters are daunted by her talents- which are limitless and creatively endless.  But her competitive nature doesn't leave room to be upstaged!
Glam Sense Chat with Gem Martinez
Glam Sense:
We want to uncover the mystery behind Gem; who is Gem Martinez?
Gem:
“First and foremost I’m a proud mother that was born and raised in Jersey.  I have mastered the art of hairdressing; I’m a singer/song writer, entrepreneur, fashion designer, and urban model! I’m a perfectionist…with love for fashion, and a very hard worker.”
Glam Sense:
What are some of the things you've done that you are proud of at this point in your career?
Gem:
(Speaking passionately) “I am proud and extremely excited about my online boutique, set to open shortly! Having my own business is a huge dream and accomplishment for me… I believe in it so much!”
Glam Sense:
What is the life of a video vixen/ model like? Is it a tough business to get into? Are other models vicious and competitive?
Gem:
“The life of a vixen is a little rough being that the industry is filled with men. They assume that because you take sexy pictures, and are friendly that they can ‘try’ you. But I let them know from the door, I'm here to work, nothing more nothing less! Also, the stereotypes from other people- the criticism that you know you will be subjected to; it's all a part of the game. You have to understand that not everyone is going to like what you do, and I'm ok with that because I believe in me!! At the end of the day, they're going to respect my hustle. And as far as it being hard to break into the industry-as with everything it's all about whom u know. Models are definitely competitive….(pause) think about it, you've got a room full of ‘bad bitches’ aiming for the top spot, but that never worries me....you've gotta always know that you have something different to offer that no one else has.”
Glam Sense:
To distinguish yourself from all negative publicity that video vixens/models get, what's the difference between you and other models?
Gem:
“The difference between me and other models is that this modeling thing is like a pit stop for me. It's not my career! It’s nothing I ever aspired to be, it just happened and so I went with it. It’s all fun to me, and I’m good at it… so why not? I really don't like to do the whole thong thing for my own personal reasons. For the right offer or deal I might though, depending on the situation, but it has to make sense (laughing)...But basically this is all a part of a greater agenda for me. I've got it all mapped out.”
Glam Sense:
People tend to think that your butt is fake? Is it true or is it 100% natural?
Gem:
“My ass is 100% natural, I've always had it and if you saw my mom it wouldn’t even be a question (laughing)! Fake asses don't move like mine, fake asses look hard and heavy, mine is so soft and jiggly (laughing).. And I love it like that!”
Glam Sense:
On various blogs including yours, you've mentioned on creating a clothing line- tell us about it and when will it be available for consumers?
Gem:
“So my clothing line is and will be my biggest accomplishment!! It will be a consumer one stop shop to Fabulousness! My line is based on the cat suit/Gem suit, but not subjected to. To anybody that knows me, they know I have an obsession for cat suits! I've always tried to find unique pieces and never had much success. So I decided to create my own suits, and got many compliments and basically one idea rolled into another. The clothes on my site will be everything I ever dreamed of wearing, definitely not for the simple girl… but for the bold and confident! It will be a make-up of all things Gem, all the ingredients that I use to pull a dope outfit together will be at their fingertips! The boutique name is www.thehouseofgem.com and we are shooting to launch summer 2012.”
Glam Sense:
At various events you tend to stand out fashion wise, what are your favorite designers?
Gem:
“My style is very versatile; I love to keep people guessing. If you were to ever take a look at my closet you would probably be confused as to what type of person I am, but I love that! So whenever people ask me for a favorite anything it's always a hard answer for me being that I love many things. But my favorite designers right now are Mark Fast, Hakan, Dsquared, Alexander Wang and Alexander McQueen.
Glam Sense:
Being a hairstylist, do you have any tips for your fans for staying glam?
Gem:
“My tips for staying glam, well summer heat is not cute, neither are the frizz that comes along with it (laughing). I would tell people, don't be afraid to try different up do style, like braids and high buns are really in right now.”
Glam Sense:
What are your key must haves in your makeup bag?
Gem:
“My key must haves in my makeup bag are definitely liquid eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick or gloss depending on the occasion.”
Glam Sense:
A lot of people compare you to Amber Rose, how do you feel about this comparison? Do you think it’s true and is it a compliment?
Gem:
“Yea I’m often compared to Amber Rose and at first I really didn't see the resemblance. But we have very similar styles as far as the tight sexy clothes, glasses, etc…and maybe the full lips (laughing) I don’t know… But it's definitely a compliment because I think she is soo sexy (laughing) she's my girl crush without a doubt!”
Glam Sense:
Your definitely a triple threat, you're a trained dancer, song writer and singer..Are you working on any of these talents at the moment?
Gem:
“At the moment I am fully submerged in my clothing line, and once I get that out of the way, I’d like to concentrate more on my music.”
Glam Sense:
What's next for Gem career wise?
Gem:
“Career wise (she pauses)… like I said I’m just concentrating on my fashion line, my music, and writing etc. But I'm open to anything that makes ‘cents’ at this point.”
Glam Sense:
For the many fans that are probably in awe of you, are you dating, if not what are your preferences?
Gem:
(Laughing) I'm not really dating, just focusing fully on my career, I really don't have much time to date nor am I really interested.”
Glam Sense:
What is your motto in life for staying humble and confident?

Gem:
“My motto in life for staying humble and confident is (she pause)… anything that has been granted to you can be easily taken away within seconds! That thought process is what keeps me grounded. I am grateful for all the great things and people in my life that have touched me in some way or another. I'm not perfect nor do I claim to be, I'm just a genuine person trying to live out my wildest dreams!”
Gem
**** “I also want to say a special thanks to you Krys Kutie for this interview, you’re a sweetheart! Thanks to all my fans and supporters that truly believe in me. Many Thanks to my main doll ‘Ms. Honee’, and my family for all the support and love! And last but certainly not least my mom for all her support, belief, and for holding me down! You All are appreciated!!”
Glam Sense:
Thank you Gem for being you, we appreciate your time with us. And we wish you nothing but success doll!

Glam Sense Chat with Royce Reed

Royce Reed is the ex-girlfriend and mother of a son to Dwight Howard, Basketball player of Orlando Magic. She is also a former NBA dancer for such teams as the Orlando Magic’s and the Miami Heat, an entrepreneur and a skilled actress. On the Basketball Wives, she is portrayed as the outcast; however Royce is a sweet person but doesn't take crap from nobody. Some say she is a hopeless romantic who jumps from one serious relationship to the next, but that's far from the truth. Since late season two, Royce's relationships with Shaunie, Evelyn has cooled down as she grows closer to Suzie and Keisha, However her relationship with Tami starts to unravel because of Tami's Behavior towards some cast members...Royce tells it how it is, 'no sugar coating'. Our interview with Royce gives viewers a better understanding of who she really is- a sweet and genuine person!

Glam: Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to chat with us. How has being apart of Basketball wives affect your life, either good or bad?

Royce: “Well for me it's an outlet to show people who I am, a lot of times my situation doesn't have a voice. The show gave me an outlet. Outside of that, it furthered my career, I now see myself in a different light and it has helped me not to make the same mistakes.”

Glam: After seeing your breakdown with your dad on the show, how is your relationship now?

Royce: “Well it’s a lot better, that breakdown was a few months ago. After seeing it again, we had another talk, he came to my Broadway show and I felt amazing that he came to support me. He was so proud; he had no idea what I was doing and how many people appreciate me.”

Glam: Last week episode, the cast flew to Tahiti to take a break from all the drama but for some reason drama followed them. What do you think about Evelyn and Tami’s behavior on the new cast members?

Royce: "Not good at all!!! No excuse for anyone else, I got into a fight myself, but you won't see me fighting again! You have to take a look at yourself and admit ‘you’re’ wrong and to grow up. Some cast members need to do that, I called tammy out and she seem to be upset with me, I'm not the one to sugar coat things, if she doesn’t think she wants to be my friend then maybe she doesn't knows what friendship means.... it’s embarrassing, I understand why people are boycotting it, if I was them I would boycott it too!! We need to start sending positive messages."

Glam: You are definitely a girl full of fire, which is why other cast members don't push you around, where do you think you got that from?

Royce: (laughing) "It's the way I was raised, I don't take crap, I fight with words, but I don't let what people say affect me."

Glam: The show portrays you as the outcast; do you ever want to get back in that click? How do you feel about that?

Royce: "no, (she laughs) I really don't care. They are all a bunch of consigners...I have my real friends, they tell you the truth, CLICK -I don't need that, my only click is my dance school!"

Glam: How has the life of a cheerleader been for you, and what would you tell other girls that want to get involve?

Royce: "It opened a lot of doors. I had a whole lot of fun, I traveled the world and learn new cultures-an experience I won't take for granted. I did it for 3 yrs.; it makes sure you're in great shape; because a lot of people make the team but not the game!! If you have your mind right then you will make a lot of friends..I didn't because this world is very competitive."

Glam: Recently you debuted in the hit Broadway play ‘Platinos and Collard greens’, tell us about that experience.

Royce: "aaah, I didn't get excited about it at first, but when I was actually on stage I said wow...It's finally happening. I think i did a great job, hopefully everyone thinks the same thing. I loved it!

Glam: You are the girl with a lot of love to give, you wear your heart on your sleeves, what love means to you

Royce: "Love is determined by your actions, a feeling you know when you are in love. You love everything about that person, the way they smile, the way the laugh, and even the way they chip their teeth. It's chemistry."

Glam: What other projects are you currently working on besides acting and the reality TV shows?

Royce: "I want to produce a t-shirt line that encourages positivity, a line that parents would buy for their children that doesn't encourage bullying. Also, the dance company is my baby now; hopefully I will have more people by the end of this year. I also have an energy drink and a fitness video coming out soon."

Glam: For someone who is a mother, you have a great athletic figure. How often do you work out to keep in shape? What tip would you give females to getting abs like yours?

Royce: (giggling) "I am not going to lie, i really don't work out. I carry my 4 yr. old son on my arm, other than that; I'll do a full body regimen. But I don't really go to the gym, if I do- I train with weights.. I love challenges, so I enjoy competitive workouts."

Glam: We are a fashion media company; our viewers would love to know about your favorite ‘go to’ boutiques or clothing stores?

Royce: "I love sneakers; I am really a sneakers girl. Victoria Secrets and Pink are on my list too. Outside of that, Armani Exchange and Guess. I am not into the high end brands, I don't go out a lot, I am always in my work out clothes, and I spend my money on my son and my business."

Glam: You have a beautiful skin, is it good genes or do you have a regimen?

Royce: "Honestly, I drink a lot of water and when I wear makeup, I would wear 'Proactive' under it to prevent breakouts."

Glam: Tell us something your fans would be surprise to hear?

Royce: (laughing) "I love to sleep..if that's a hobby then that’s mines. And I enjoy home improvement."

Glam: Well thank you for taking the time out to chat with Glam, we look forward to hear much more from you, the sky is the limit...keep pushing!

Royce: "Thank you so much Glam Sense"

Jennifer Hudson at the 'Think like a Man' Movie Premiere

Glam is loving this look on Jennifer Hudson! As you know the pleated skirt style is on board, and Jen killed the red carpet with this fab two-tone, double layer mini pleated skirt by Gucci.  Not to mention the fierce blue Giuseppe Zanotti bow detail shoes to match her white tee accentuated by a blue necklace.  Hair was cute and fresh ready for Spring; but… as we looked carefully at her shoes, we couldn’t help to notice the unattractive ‘corn chips’ on her toes! Yikes… Podiatrist anyone!!!

Breakfast.Lunch. &Dinner: “Khloe & Lamar” canceled on E! ??

There were rumors that E! canceled the ‘Khloe and Lamar’ show, but Khloe Kardashian’s rep cleared the air and said the show is just on ‘hold’ for the moment. “It has NOT been cancelled. It’s just on hold now while schedules are figured out. It will depend on their schedules, as Lamar’s basketball schedule is a priority!”(people.com)

The real deal is..the basketball player was no longer interested in having cameras around him because he wants to focus on saving his dying career as an NBA player!! Lamar  was traded from the LA Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks earlier this season and his struggle off and off the courts did not help his career at all. But one should question…is Khloe and/or the show keeping him from focusing on his career or is it him sabotaging himself with lack of discipline and serious training?

However, the Entertainment Network is trying to persuade them into reconsidering but the Odom’s seems to be standing firm on their decision to hold off. Lamar told close a source that he really wants to  make a comeback in the NBA and he thinks if he focuses on basketball instead of so many other projects, it will help him to reach his career goals. Nevertheless, some sources claim that the couple will continue to make random and occasional appearances on the show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’

Glam Sense Chat with Celebrity Reality TV Star- Malorie Bailey-Massie

Born and raised in Alabama, Malorie Bailey-Massie (nickname-‘Mal’), Sister and Assistant to Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey, is a devoted basketball wife, mother, writer and businesswoman. Married to professional basketball player, Chris Massie, she also manages his career and four other international basketball players.
Recently, she launched her company “Mal’s Custom Bracelets” in 2011, ‘where she has experienced a great deal of rave about her custom bracelets, both on and off the red carpet.’ Also, she is working on other career moves for this year. During our interview with her- we had an opportunity to speak to her about her career focus and her life on the Housewives of ATL!

Glam Sense Chat with Malorie Bailey-Massie 4/27/2012:
Glam Sense:
Who is Malorie Bailey-Massie, what do you want your fans to know about you that they may not know already?

Malorie:
“I'm a Wife, a Mother, a Daughter, a Sister, an Entrepreneur, Basketball Sports Recruiter and an aspiring Writer. I wear a lot of hats; I'm a woman of many talents.”

Glam Sense:
How has Reality TV impacted your life?

Malorie:
“Reality TV has impacted my life in a positive way. It’s put me in a position where I’m able to move onto some things that I’ve been interested in pursuing.”

Glam Sense:
On the past season till now, we've noticed your relationship with Peter is Rocky. What is the status of your relationship with him now?

Malorie:
“Peter and I are stilling learning to respect and accept each other. Peter is Peter, he's going to say what is on his mind and I'm the same way. I’m the type of sister that would never turn my back and look the other way if I feel that something is wrong. Peter and I are family now, so we will get through this. It may take a little time, but we will get there!”

Glam Sense:
What is the reason why you’re so protective over Cynthia and her marriage to Peter?

Malorie:
“Last season on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, I told Cynthia that she should postpone her marriage to Peter because of their financial problems. I have been married for 7 years and I have been in the same position with my husband’s former International Basketball Team. They did not pay the players for 2 years, which created some financial uncertainty for my family, for a short period of time. This is what Cynthia was referring to on the show when she stated, "your marriage is not perfect either". One thing I know is that you don't go into a new marriage with financial challenges. If you do, you’re asking for problems!
I started having second thoughts about Cynthia marrying Peter after I noticed how unhappy Cynthia was and the constant fighting between them. Obviously, I became very concerned, like any sister would. The more Cynthia shared with me about Peter’s financial problems, the more troubled I became about her decision to move forward with marrying him….Naturally, I love my sister and I want what’s absolutely best for her!”

Glam Sense:
Do you think the show is taped to make you look like the villain in this situation? And do you feel Cynthia is not being sympathetic to your feelings on how Peter talks to you or about you?

Malorie:
“I think that through the editing process, what is actually being shown makes it difficult for viewers to really know who I am. On the show, I come across as being over-protective, jealous and not happy for my sister, which is not at all the case.
As Cynthia’s sister, I'm going to voice my opinion whether bad or good if I see or hear something wrong. Especially, if Cynthia is sharing with me what is going on in her marriage! I'm not Cynthia’s friend, I'm her sister. I'm never going to be silent when it comes to my family. I understand Peter is her husband; therefore, Cynthia cannot tell me things and expect me not to respond or have an opinion. I believe that Cynthia understands and is clear on the fact that there has to be mutual respect between Peter and I.”

Glam Sense:
Now that you are living in France, did the distance from your family allow you all to rebuild your relationship?

Malorie:
“We have always been and will remain a very close family. Nothing or no one will ever change that. Like any normal family, we have our disagreements, but at the end of the day we are still family.”

Glam Sense:
What are you working on professionally, other than being on the Reality TV show Housewives of ATL?

Malorie:
“I recently launched Mal's Custom Jewelry, www.malscustomjewelry.com. I’ve written 3 Reality TV shows that I'm in the process of pitching, I’m currently working on a novel- which should be out next year and I help manage my husband’s basketball career, along with four other international basketball players.”

Glam Sense:
Wow, ok we see that you are really busy. Tell us a little more about your custom bracelet line and how long have you been a jewelry designer?

Malorie:
“I started my custom beaded bracelets line last year and I have received some rave reviews. I’m doing extremely well! I also design more elegant pieces with fewer charms. My designs are tailored to all Fashion Trendsetters- Men, Women, Children, College Students, and Brides. I am especially proud of my awareness focused bracelets that tailor to various Organizations and Foundations. My Kid Glam bracelet line will be out this summer.”

Glam Sense:
Earlier in your career, you modeled for a few designers. Can you tell us about your experience being a model?

Malorie:
“(She laughs)… I wouldn't necessary say I had a modeling career. I did attend modeling school and did a few shows and some print work through a popular agency in Texas. Modeling was never my passion, so I gave it up after having my daughter Madison.”

Glam Sense:
You and your mom have such a strong bond, were you always this close with your mother growing up? And do you have other siblings?

Malorie:
“Yes, I have always been very close to my mother. My mother is everything to me! Cynthia and I have a younger brother named Thomas and we both have daughters – Madison and Noelle. We are a very close knit family, no matter where we are, we make it a point to speak with each other every day.”

Glam Sense:
Being that France is one of the fashion capitals of the world, do you think you would ever move back to the states?

Malorie:
“France is not my permanent residence. My husband plays basketball in France, so we have homes in both France and Texas. Once the season is over, we look forward to returning to Texas. France is beautiful, but there is no place like home.”

Glam Sense:
Do you find it more relaxing living in France vs. the states? Are you able to live a normal life there or are you treated like a celebrity?

Malorie:
“My husband is a well known International Basketball Player, so our celebrity roles switch when we are in France. He's more of the celebrity in France; I'm considered the ‘basketball wife’, although.. a few people do recognize me from the Housewives of ATL. I would have to say, it’s definitely more relaxing in France.”

Glam Sense:
What is the good, bad and ugly about Reality TV? And what advice would you give to those who want to be on Reality TV?

Malorie:
“The good about Reality TV is that it puts you in a position to expand yourself through networking and career opportunities. There are positive feedback from the fans which makes Reality TV a plus. The bad thing about Reality TV is that people only see a glimpse of your life on TV, which often causes viewers to form a distorted opinion about who you are. The ugly is the rumors and lies, which is the worst part of it all. When your face is shown on TV, you are considered a celebrity which makes you fair game to the negative opinions of random individuals, bloggers and gossip publications and sites dedicated to watching your every move and waiting for the opportunity to tear you and your family down. This can be tough on individuals who are not as grounded in family as we are, especially when it comes to protecting our family members who are not involved in the show. There is no protection from individuals or blog websites that make up lies about you and your family. I understand that the intention of many blog sites is to drive traffic to their sites by reporting the news or forwarding rumors. However, I feel that all media outlets should be required to check their facts before putting out bad information, especially where the children of celebrities are concerned.”

Glam Sense:
Who are your favorite designers?

Malorie:
“Nina Ricci. I absolutely love her designs. Akris and you can never go wrong with Gucci.”

Glam Sense:
Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with Glam. We wish you the best of luck on your future Endeavors and we can’t wait to see your Reality TV shows come to life!

Malorie:
Thank you so much.

Glam Sense:
How was it like being the ex-girlfriend of the Greatest Rapper, 'Biggie Smalls'? Do you think being with him opened a lot of doors for you, making it easier to break into the game?

Charli Baltimore:
(Laughing)..."No, it made it harder! The stigma attached to dating someone popular- people
tend to judge you off of that and not by your talent. There's too much drama that came with that."

Glam Sense:
We consider your style to be very original, your definitely a trendsetter; especially your ever changing hairstyles. How do you come up with your different looks and what is your sense of style?

Charli Baltimore:
"I just colored my hair black, I also add extensions. I remember shaving the side of my head and I loved how the way the tattoo stood out. So I rocked it, I am not a stylist but I come up with my own look...I love to experiment."

Glam Sense
Your past album, 'Cold as Ice' open many doors. Why did you choose that name?

Charli Baltimore:
"I didn't come up with the name, the label I was signed to at the time did. They felt that name was the image they saw for me."

Glam Sense:
You had so many obstacles in your life..two albums fell through the cracks. What happened?

Charli Baltimore:
(she pauses..) "Well, I was with Murder Inc at the time, and their was a beef between them and G-Unit. Irv Gotti got too rapped up in all that drama. I was never dropped from the label, I asked them to let me go!

Glam Sense:
With new female rap artists like 'Nicki Mniaj' that's dominating the charts, How do you feel about your return to the game?

Charli Baltimore:
"I don't compare myself to other female rappers! I am a writer and my fans appreciate me. My writing is my talent."

Glam Sense:
What do you think of females making it in the Hip-Hop world?

Charli Baltimore:
"It's hard! It is a male dominating world, but there are still a lot of females who can make an impact."

Glam Sense:
Tell us about your new album?

Charli Baltimore:
(her voice became passionate) "Well, my album drops soon. My single, 'True Lies' features my daughter India singing on it and Maino. The single is about breaking up, and with all the drama and having no trust, they can't get it together.
This album is personal to me,I put a lot into it. I felt every single lyric that was written..I can't wait for it to come to life."

Glam Sense:
You are a beautiful woman, how do you stay in shape, and what is your secret when it comes to beauty?

Charli Baltimore:
"I go to the gym to maintain. I don't eat sweets (laughing), but lately I have found myself craving sweets. I'm 5'9, so I distribute my weight well."

Glam Sense:
Glam is all about fashion. We want to know who is your favorite designers?

Charli Baltimore:
"So many to choose from, but I like underground designers more. Chanel and Jimmy Choo are on my list as well. Overall, I love clothes."

Glam Sense:
Is your beef with Lil Kim over? and would you ever collaborate with her?

Charli Baltimore:
"Beef..I have no beef with no one! I am a grown woman, we're not friends...but there's no beef going on."

Glam Sense:
Is acting in the forecast for you?

Charli Baltimore:
"Yes, I was just in 'Changing the Game' and I will be in 'Gang of Roses 2', coming out soon. I love acting."

Glam Sense:
Talking to you, you sound so sweet but your image makes you look like a gangster.

Charli Baltimore:
(Laughing) "No gangster, I'm a sweet soul. Maybe because I'm from Philly and they all give off that standoffish look. (Laughing again) I'm cool, no gangster."

Glam Sense:
Tell us about your love life?

Charli Baltimore:
"Well I got a lot of love...my daughters. I enjoy watching them grow into beautiful ladies. Now I'm enjoying me, but if love finds me.. I am down."

Glam Sense:
Well we just want to say, we love you and thanks for taking the time to talk to Glam. We wish you the best and will be listening out for  your single at and our invite to your album  release party.(laughing)

Charli Baltimore:
Love you too Glam
